WELLS FOR INDIA

CHARITY EVENING AT THE HOUSE OF LORDS

Since 1987, Wells for India has worked in partnership with local voluntary organisations in Rajasthan, the most drought-prone state in India, providing support for water-related development and emergency relief work in the poorest village communities.  During that period, more than a million people’s lives have been changed for the better.  At any one time, around 70,000 people are benefiting from current Wells for India projects.

Our lovely friend Jos Garbett, the operations manager for Wells for India introduced us to this charity we now support & what a stunning setting for such a worthwhile cause. The fabulous evening was hosted by Wells for India patron, Lord Bhikhu Parekh. Amongst the illustrious guests were founders Nicholas and Mary Grey & fellow Trustee Peter McManus, who gave speeches along with Sir David Goodall. OCS, who have donated to support projects added to the evening. The River Room at the House of Lords is dazzling, it has gorgeous gothic interiors & spectacular views of the river and, London eye & the building’s architecture that you feel that you can reach out and touch.
